The duration varies, but it typically ranges from 1 to 5 years, depending on the procedure, individual factors, and aftercare. While the pigments are long-lasting, they will fade over time. Regular touch-ups are recommended to maintain the desired results.

Permanent makeup application should never hurt. I use a topical numbing agent first. Discomfort levels vary among individuals, but topical anesthetics are applied to minimize any potential discomfort during the procedure and I will adjust amounts and timing based on the individual needs. There may be some discomfort for the first few hours after leaving, comparable to a curling iron burn. Most clients have no issues, but you may take Tylenol or Advil as needed.

I always draw on the shape we discuss beforehand to ensure you are 100% happy with the look before we proceed. I will offer my expert opinions, but you get to ultimately get to decide. Yes, you can. Permanent makeup enhances your features, but you're still free to use additional makeup for special occasions or to achieve specific looks.

Most people can resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure. Avoiding intense physical activity and sun exposure is recommended for a few days. I will send you with aftercare instructions as well but you will want to avoid saunas, swimming, facials, and anything will immerse your eyebrows in water at first. I will provide you eyebrow shields for showering.

Touch-ups are follow-up sessions scheduled to refine and maintain the results. Initial procedures establish the foundation, and touch-ups are crucial for long-lasting and vibrant results.

After your permanent makeup procedure, it’s important to keep the treated area clean and moisturized. Use a mild soap and water to gently clean the area twice a day, and then apply a thin layer of ointment to keep it moisturized. Keeping the area clean and moisturized will help the tattoo heal properly and reduce the risk of infection.

Picking or scratching at your new permanent makeup is a big no-no. Doing so can damage the tattoo, cause scarring, and increase the risk of infection. It’s important to resist the temptation to touch or scratch the treated area, even if it’s itchy or uncomfortable. Let it heal naturally.

Sun exposure can cause the pigments in your permanent makeup to fade or change color, so it’s important to avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for at least two weeks after your procedure. After two weeks, it’s essential to use a high SPF sunscreen on the treated area to protect it from UV rays.

It’s important to avoid soaking the treated area for at least two weeks after your procedure. This means no swimming, hot tubs, saunas, steam facials, or long showers. Excessive moisture can cause the pigments to fade or blur, which can affect the overall appearance of your permanent makeup.

I will provide you with a detailed list of dos and don’ts, so be sure to read and follow them carefully. I will also discuss this in your consultation and session, so please ask any questions you may have. You will also be provided with aftercare tools and products so you don’t need to stress about searching for those.

It’s common to experience some swelling, redness, and tenderness after your permanent makeup procedure. This is normal and usually subsides within a few days. If you experience excessive swelling, redness, or pain, contact your technician immediately.
